EatMacroPlant currently keeps your personal kitchen data in this browser. There is no EatMacroPlant account or automatic cloud sync yet, so a backup file is the way to move it to another browser or device.

No advertising or analytics cookies are currently added by EatMacroPlant.

Plain-English privacy

What stays here—and what can leave

Saved in this browser

Household profiles, nutrition settings, allergies, family recipes, pantry, plans, favourites and cooking history stay in this browser unless you export them or intentionally share something.

AI only when you ask

Creating or adapting a recipe, or checking a custom ingredient, sends the recipe or ingredient text, your chosen options and relevant allergy constraints through EatMacroPlant's server to OpenAI. Household names, body measurements, planner history and this backup are not sent with those requests.

Shared only when you choose

Creating a recipe or meal-plan link stores the selected snapshot on EatMacroPlant's sharing service for the expiry you choose. Recipe links contain only that recipe; meal-plan links may also include any shopping, preparation or family-recipe details you select. Anyone with the link can view it.

Sending feedback also sends the category, message and page context you choose to submit. Avoid putting private information into free-text boxes or share-link titles.

What the backup covers

The file contains portable, user-facing data—not disposable scroll positions, AI screening caches or temporary generated recipes that have not been saved to Family Favourites.

Names, body and activity settings, allergies and kitchen assumptions.

Your recipe cupboard

Family favourites, custom ingredients, hearts and cooking history.

Planning & pantry

Your working week, saved weeks, preparation choices and pantry state.

Display preferences

Theme and the last planner view you used.

Ticked shopping items on shared plans opened in this browser.
